What we solve

One accountable partner for everything that happens to your wind farm

From the scheduled service to a yaw ring replacement, a reinforcement crew for your next punch list campaign or a rope-access blade repair. No generic rate cards: the scope is defined turbine by turbine, from the technology, the condition and the access.

Too many unplanned correctives on your fleet?

Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance under one contract, to manufacturer procedures on 10+ platforms: torque checks, generator alignment, TN and anti-static retrofits, turbine preservation, wiring and yaw ring replacement.

  • Availability target agreed in the contract, with reporting
  • 24/7 on-call for farms under contract
  • Optional 3-month pilot before you commit the fleet

Short of hands for a campaign, an outage or a punch list?

Reinforcement crews of GWO-trained technicians with a team leader, tooling and PPE, mobilised within days in Spain and Latin America. They slot into your organisation, your ISP's or the OEM's, as they have at Cabo Leones (Chile) and Duna Huambos (Peru).

  • Preventive campaigns, planned outages and fleet-wide retrofits
  • Punch list, turbine handover and end-of-warranty campaigns
  • Spain, Portugal, France and Latin America from our two offices

Blade or tower damage and no crane in sight?

A full crew of IRATA technicians, with people qualified for blade structural repair, works where the damage is, without crane or platform: ultrasonic and tap testing, blade repair by category, nacelle and hub fibre, vertical cleaning of towers, blades and tower sections, painting and logo installation.

  • Blades: leading-edge protection (LEP), cracks, laminate, lightning receptors (LPS) and drains
  • Hub fibre lowered by rope access, as at San Pedro (Chile)
  • Vertical cleaning of towers and blades: Atacama, Renaico 2, Dominican Republic

A major component out of service?

Major correctives and main component exchange with crane or up-tower and craneless systems, with torque records and full documentary traceability so the machine is back on the grid as soon as possible.

  • Yaw ring replacement and corrective work, as at La Bouleste (France)
  • Generator alignment, as at Polche Sur and Llanos del Viento, with torque checks and records
  • Task force for retrofit and corrective campaigns

Why Greenwork

A company of technicians, not of offices

Greenwork Technology was founded in 2015 in Cidones, 15 km from Soria, by Alberto Valero Carús to assemble and maintain industrial installations. Since then it has taken on new projects and responsibilities and extended its services to Latin America through its subsidiary in Santiago de Chile. The team's wind experience goes back further, to 2010: Akhfenir (Morocco), Oaxaca (Mexico), Barão São João (Portugal), Negrete, Tal-Tal and Rawson, Talara and the Uruguayan wind farms.

  • GWO-trained technicians and qualified rope access technicians. Nacelle, tower and blade with the same crew and the same safety standards.
  • 10+ turbine platforms: Nordex Delta 4000, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Goldwind, Senvion/Repower, NEG Micon, Acciona, Envision and Alstom, plus the turbine feeding the Haru Oni green hydrogen plant in Chile.
  • Integrated quality, safety and environmental management system with an integrated policy applied on every site, in Spain and abroad.
  • Drone operator and official Yuneec distributor: our pilots are wind technicians and know what to look for on a blade.

Without a single full-service provider

  • Every failure starts from scratch: find a technician, a crane and a spare.
  • Real availability is only known at year end, when there is no margin left.
  • Unplanned correctives eat into the O&M budget.
  • Blades go uninspected until the damage is visible from the ground.
  • One supplier for ropes, another for the crane, another for the drone: nobody answers for the whole.

With Greenwork as the single accountable party

  • 24/7 on-call for farms under contract and one point of contact.
  • Availability target agreed in the contract and reported to you.
  • Retrofits, torque checks and generator alignment scheduled before they become correctives.
  • Drone blade inspection every campaign, with damage by type, severity and size and data kept for comparison.
  • One partner for preventive, corrective, crane, rope access and drone.

And if you would rather do it yourself

We can also sell you the equipment

Our business is the service: climbing the turbine, inspecting, measuring and repairing it. But we are official Yuneec distributors, and some clients would rather own their drone and train their own pilots — so we sell the equipment and train the people who will fly it.

Drones, cameras and inspection packs configured by the same technicians who fly them on turbines, with set-up and pilot training. Prices are in the shop (Spanish); the inspection service is scoped wind farm by wind farm.

How we work

How we walk into a wind farm we do not know yet

Every site has its own technology, age, access and history. The work changes on each one; the method does not.

Survey

We walk the site turbine by turbine: access roads and crane pads, external condition of tower and blades, alarm history, maintenance already carried out and the state of the critical components.

Diagnosis

Findings are ranked by risk: what compromises safety, what is costing production, what can wait for the next shutdown and what should be grouped so nobody climbs the same turbine twice.

Work plan

Scope turbine by turbine, means of access — ropes, crane, platform, drone —, spare parts, crew and weather window. On blades the window rules: wind to hang the ropes and temperature for the resin to cure.

Execution

To the OEM procedure, with health-and-safety and contractor documentation cleared before we enter, calibrated tools and a team leader on site. Every turbine is closed with its own work sheet.

Handover and data

Report per turbine with before-and-after photographs, punch list of whatever is still open, and the data kept so the next campaign can be compared with this one instead of starting from scratch.

Projects

More than 50 wind farms and factories in 13 countries on 4 continents

Spain, Portugal, France, Morocco, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe and China. The same standard in Soria as in the Atacama desert.

Who we work for

OEMs, developers, EPC contractors and utilities

The same crews, the same procedures and the same documentation whether we report to the manufacturer, the owner or the construction contractor. No client names on the website, for confidentiality: every reference is documented by wind farm, platform and scope and shared in the proposal.

The wind sector in Spain

Three figures that explain why your fleet needs a plan

Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) data: 22,433 turbines in service and almost 10 GW of capacity older than 20 years. Maintain, extend life or repower is the decision of this decade. We help you make it with data from your own farm.
